Can you please share the bhyve configuration you are using?  That is, what
command-line arguments is bhyve run with?

What does "memory intensive actions" mean?

One shortcoming of the OOM killer with respect to bhyve is that killing bhy=
ve
doesn't destroy the VM, so doesn't release much of the memory automatically.
