FreeBSD bsd-kayak.i-duffner.de 4.5-RC2 FreeBSD 4.5-RC2 #0: Thu Jan 17 21:24:52 PST 2002 murray@builder.freebsdmall.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/GENERIC i386
>Description:
I have the following configured:
(from dmesg)
pcn0: <AMD PCnet/PCI 10/100BaseTX> port 0x7ce0-0x7cff mem 0xfcfff400-0xfcfff41f irq 9 at device 5.0 on pci2
pcn0: Ethernet address: 00:60:b0:fa:1e:7b
miibus0: <MII bus> on pcn0
lxtphy0: <LXT970 10/100 media interface> on miibus0
lxtphy0: 100baseFX, 100baseFX-FDX, 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto
(from ifconfig)
pcn0: flags=8943<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,PROMISC,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.1.10 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
inet6 fe80::260:b0ff:fefa:1e7b%pcn0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1
ether 00:60:b0:fa:1e:7b
media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX)
status: active
Yet, I can't get a simple ping over the line.
The card is detected (it's one of those SCSI/Ethernet cards found in HP-Kayaks), but does not work as expected.
This has been a problem for a long time.
