How big of a factor is encryption in lowering overall : speeds? First of all 11Mbps is only if things are perfect. I live in a less than perfect RF world with lots of noise. I don't use encryption at all. But it only increases latency. It doesn't decrease bandwidth that I've seen, but I have only a little experience with it.
