https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D233916 Bug ID: 233916 Summary: [acpi] FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE, 12.0-RC3 and 13.0-CURRENT r341429 on HP Envy Pro 4-b000: Boot stuck at pci0: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib0 Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: neel@neelc.org When I boot FreeBSD 11.2,RELEASE, 12.0-RC or 13.0-CURRENT r341429 on HP Envy Pro 4-b000, I get stuck at this line: pci0: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib0 This issue exists in both UEFI and BIOS mode. FreeBSD 10.1 boots fine on this laptop in BIOS mode only. Windows 10 is what is currently installed on the hard drive. I got the Envy secondhand as a "testing" laptop (one that I can run CURRENT= on, and possibly other OSes as well before wiping my production laptop) as oppo= sed to a "primary" laptop (that would be a HP EliteBook 1040 G3 which works fine with FreeBSD). OpenBSD 6.4 and ElementaryOS 5.0 boots on this laptop successfully. Both are from LiveUSB in UEFI mode. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
