Check the archives of this list; this is a question that comes up again and 
again. The brief answer is: no, not unless you are a masochist with time to 
waste and capable of an infuriating attention to detail (do you play nethack? 
do you play each charater to win _and_ as an extinctionist? then you're 
in :) ). Or David O'Brien, I think he figured it out. The game plan is 30-odd 
steps fraught with peril.

I think the old luxury-goods adage applies: if you have to ask, you can't 
afford it.
