The difference between English and Japanese handbook are very few. We added info of mirror site in Japan, description of Japanese Documentation Project (translation team), guide of "how to get FreeBSD info in Japanese", etc. > I think it does make sense for there to be one 'canonical' version of the > Handbook from which all other translations are derived. I think the English version continues to be the standard, because non-English --> non-English (ex: French --> Japanese) translation will be very difficult. Many of FreeBSD users in Japan can read documents in English, but most of them can not read French, Spanish, etc. --- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Motoyuki Konno mkonno@res.yamanashi-med.ac.jp (Univ) motoyuki@snipe.rim.or.jp (Home) motoyuki@jp.FreeBSD.ORG (FreeBSD) Yamanashi Medical University http://www.jp.freebsd.org/~motoyuki/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
