12.0 is now past EOL. This is issue is just a consequence of the way
FreeBSD-update metadata works - normally an updated EOL is provided from ti=
me
to time with a SA or EN. It is unlikely this will be addressed before
freebsd-update is obsoleted by pkgbase.
