Yes, I've seen that as well. There is some kind of problem with loading the shared libarary when you run as nobody, or as www. I have written a simple SUID wrapper which sets the the uid/gid and then execs tomcat--that works. If instead of my wrapper I use su(8), I get the same error as you do. -- Regards, Georg.
