this just got fixed on ftp.freebsd.org a few minutes ago. dunno how long
it will take to get to the mirrors, but at least it won't be long. =)

#
# I have had this also. I discovered the following:
#
# In a standard-layout FTP tree, eg my local copy (mirror.uk.uu.net, feel
# free to use it if it's near you) the directory
# /pub/FreeBSD/releases/alpha/3.2-RELEASE/src contains
#
# -r--r--r-- 1 mirror nobody 240640 May 16 20:29 slib.ao
# -r--r--r-- 1 mirror nobody 240640 May 16 20:29 slib.ap
# -r--r--r-- 1 mirror nobody 32768 May 16 21:52 slib.aq
# -r--r--r-- 1 mirror nobody 240640 May 16 20:29 slib.ar
# -r--r--r-- 1 mirror nobody 240640 May 16 20:29 slib.as
#
# so slib.aq appears to be short. It's short on ftp.freebsd.org as well.
#
# I just avoided the problem by installing a snapshot of 4.0. 4.0 seems to work
# a whole lot better for me anyway; 3.2-RELEASE seems to hang up after a while
# with errors from the SCSI driver to do with not being able to read a page of
# swap (which I seem to have lost the copy I saved of :-( ).
