"jimmy martin" writes: +--------------- | I think i want to install natd but im not sure if its what i need. my lan | consists of 5 computers, a dsl line and a hub, as of right now it goes | "dsl-hub-then to each computer" how I want it to go is "dsl-hub-bsdbox-all | other computers. How would I got about settin up natd to do this?? Also | every time i setup my kernel for natd from the specifcations in man natd i | cant get online. +--------------- The map goes DSL-x-bsd---hub---others. The cable between the DSL modem and the bsd box is a crossover. Pinout on the two RJ45s on the cable is is as follows: 1 - 4 2 - 5 4 - 1 5 - 2 No connection is necessary for the other pins. Crossover cables are available at most computer stors. Natd requires re-building your kernel. Directions are in the natd(8) manual page. good luck! chris __ Chris Fedde <chris@fedde.littleton.co.us> 303 773 9134 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
