 I think these are symptoms of not running the lock daemon on your NFS server.
I've been able to run all of these when booting/running from disk.

 Yep, known problem - libkvm is just stubs and needs to be implemented. Some parts of
netstat work, such as TCP statistics, that don't require kvm.
