Hi Some of the newer Seagates are factory shipped with a jumper so that =20 they are locked at SATA150. Please check the drive, there is a jumper =20= block at the back next to the SATA/power connectors, then check the =20 doc for that particular drive how/if any jumpers should be present. On the drives I've had access to there should be no jumprs present on =20= the jumper block for full interface speed. -S=F8ren On 21Sep, 2008, at 12:27 , remko@FreeBSD.ORG wrote: > Old Synopsis: sata > New Synopsis: [ata] sata does not detect SATA-300 disk but instead =20 > does SATA-150 > > State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback > State-Changed-By: remko > State-Changed-When: Sun Sep 21 10:26:23 UTC 2008 > State-Changed-Why: > Hi Soren, I am reassigning this to you, if all goes well > we will receive some more information about the system etc. > > > > Responsible-Changed-From-To: freebsd-bugs->sos > Responsible-Changed-By: remko > Responsible-Changed-When: Sun Sep 21 10:26:23 UTC 2008 > Responsible-Changed-Why: > Reassign to soren, who is the maintainer for the ATA/SATA support. > > http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3D127517 > -S=F8ren
