Which is it. eg: if Dos says it is at x320, should I configure it > for x220 or x420? > > Second, which options and devices should I include in my kernel. Yes, a sound card that is properly supported by FreeBSD. Vladimir Silyaev took a stab at adding mad16. I have tried it here, and it works somewhat. I still get missed interrupts on transmit. Contact me privately if you want to trie, otherwise for about $15 you can get a full duplex card that is supported by FreeBSD (I use an opti931 card).
