I've been tracking both -STABLE and -CURRENT on my laptop daily (well, save for maybe half a dozen days) for over a year now, and whenever it's booted into multi-user mode OK, it handles DHCP client negotiation OK. I have tweaked /etc/dhclient-exit-hooks a bit, in order to find out what the hostname that corresponds to the assigned IP address is, and to try to set the laptop up as an NTP client. (There's a copy of this at http://www.catwhisker.org/~david/FreeBSD/dhclient-exit-hooks.) Cheers, david (links to my resume at http://www.catwhisker.org/~david) -- David H.
