Yeah we just call those winter hats. But since there's a lot of winter in Canada I suppose it makes sense to have a cool name for them. Living in Michigan, my mom born in Canada, and working with a lot of Canadian friends (I can even tell the difference between a British Columbia accent and a Saskatchewan one), I'm surprised I'd never heard the term. I'm sure if anybody lobbied for anythng that would sell they' put em on freebsdmall Tim ----------------------------------------------- "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." -Gerald Ford ----------------------------------------------- On Thu, 16 Nov 2000, Daryl Chance wrote: > So that everyone knows what a toque looks like (incase > the description isn't working), heres a link to a pic of one > (found using google). > > http://www.canoe.ca/ShoppingTBJ/toque.html > > They are sometimes called toboggans(sp?) in some parts > of the US :) > > - > Daryl Chance | And which parallel universe did > ValueData, LLC | YOU crawl out of? > Memphis, TN | - http://www.thinkgeek.com > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Roop Nanuwa" <roop@gw.carpoolbc.com> > To: "Drew Sanford" <drew@planetwe.com> > Cc: "Tim McMillen" <timcm@umich.edu>; "Damien Tougas" <damien@carroll.com>; > "Erik Rothwell" <erothwell@callgtn.com>; <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG> > Sent: Thursday, November 16, 2000 12:39 PM > Subject: Re: BSD toques - You must be Canadian, Eh? > > > > > > This is one funny thread =).. when I first saw the message I thought right > > away that most people on this list would have no clue what it was..
