This seems to be a regression.
On FreeBSD 8.0-BETA2 ia64 after a recent buildworld I get:
fxp0: device timeout
with lines similar to these:
fxp0: SCB timeout: 0x70 0x0 0x80 0x0
fxp0: SCB timeout: 0x70 0x0 0x80 0x400
fxp0: SCB timeout: 0xf0 0x0 0x80 0x400
The cable seems to be in place, no change happend there.
All my local network is unreachable!

This problem appears in archives from time to time since FBSD 4.x.
But nothing that helps me.
What am I to do?
