It works very well for me. I had *one* problem initially, which may be relevant: Some versions of the PVI486-SP3 motherboard (I have version 1.22) have an "IDE prefetch buffer". This *must be* turned off if you use PCI bus master cards (such as a 53c810 card). This is explicitly mentioned in my PVI486-SP3 manual at page 3-15.
