The Configuration of my PC is as follows:
486SLC2 - 66 mhz ( with math coprocessor )
Conner 1.6 GB ide HD
5.25" floppy drive ( bios drive B: )
3.5" floppy drive ( bios drive A: )
IDE CD ( 24x )
16mb ram
Diamond Speedstar Pro video card
3com Etherlink III - 3C509TP
I am attempting to install FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE from CD. After i boot with the disks made from the CD, I am presented with a choice of kernel configureation. I have tried only booting with the minimun devices needed, and selecting skip kernel configuration, both give the same results. When the kernel boots following this, everything works until the line
npx0 at 0xf0 - 0xff irq 13 on motherboard
Afterthis, i get a kernel panic. The exact text of the error message is as follows:
