many moons ago i wrote an install script for pipsecd that ensures you've
got both ends set up correctly... not sure how out of date this now is,
but for what it's worth:

  ftp://ftp.algroup.co.uk/pub/outgoing/pipsecconf.tgz

"setup.sh" is the thing you want to look at first.
