You will need to create a make.conf file. This is generally stored in /etc as it is the config file for /etc/defaults/make.conf. Read below for the man page depending on the release you are using (this is 4.7): http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=make.conf&apropos=0&sektion=0 &manpath=FreeBSD+4.7-RELEASE&format=html Curt Micol > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG > [mailto:owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Dmitriy Fitisov > Sent: Tuesday, February 18, 2003 10:42 PM > To: doc@FreeBSD.ORG > Subject: error in doc? > > > Hi, I'm confused in the handbook > http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/sm > tp-auth.html > > > 20.7 SMTP Authentication > ...... > 3. > > Now edit /etc/make.conf and add the following lines: > > SENDMAIL_CFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include/sasl1 -DSASL > SENDMAIL_LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/lib > SENDMAIL_LDADD=-lsasl > > > I do not have /etc/make.conf :( and it doesnot look like > appropriate file in > this place 8( > > Thanks. > Dmitriy Fitisov. > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
