I just moved all my file systems around, and moved my freebsd root
partition to a freebsd-only drive (i.e., no partitions, just a
disklabeled drive). When I boot, it complains that boot.cfg and
boot.help are missing, and I have to hit a return to get it to boot.
My original root didn't have these files, but I never got such an
error.
When I created the file partitions, I just did
disklabel -w -B sd1 conner_new
which uses /usr/mdec/boot1 and /usr/mdec/boot2. Do I really need
/usr/mdec/boot1 and /usr/mdec/rawboot?
Here's the disklabel for the drive:
conner_new|cfp2107e_new:\
:ty=winchester:dt=SCSI:rm#7200:\
:se#512:nc#4096:nt#16:ns#64:\
