Used bsd.port.pre.mk/bsd.port.post.mk to get ".if ${PYTHON_MAJOR_VER} == 3" to work. This means I had to drop the modification of OPTIONS_DEFAULT based on the Python version. Portlint complains if I try to expand the OPTIONS_DEFAULT within the bsd.port.pre.mk/bsd.port.post.mk block.
