Basically, you are best off with only one LLVM version installed and, for several ports, that most be llvm39. Some change between 37 and 38 triggered this. The recommendation for the mesa ports was to delete all old llvm ports and, so far, no reports of issues with old llvm ports being needed for anything. They were just old orphans that were no longer needed.
