It now comes up properly and uses the BNC connector each time. I tried powering off, and I even tried removing the card a couple of times. So I am much happier now. I don't know why it started working. I guess it's possible that installing the W95 drivers or running the diagnostics for the card had the side-effect of saving some state in hardware. Who knows? I wonder whether the 10baseT media will still work if I ever try it ... Anyway, I'm much happier now. :-) I guess I'll still try to keep a small W95 partition at the front of the disk. John
