The historical behaviour of Interbase was to convert the local file request into a network request - ie ask the Interbase server running on the NFS server for access to the database file. This codepath isn't working on FreeBSD though. I have no intention of getting it working either. I'll submit a PR later on with a pre-build message highlighting this deficiency. So yeah, I have no idea on what it means or how it can be overcome it, except by marking it as "bad" for Bento.
