I used the 3.4-RELEASE floppies and when xfree86 came time to configure it had the Viper 770 Ultra card in the supported hardware list. So I just selected it and it has been perfect. michael morgan -----Original Message----- From: f.johan.beisser [mailto:jan@caustic.org] Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2000 3:27 PM To: Dubbs Cc: freebsd-questions Subject: Re: Some very newbie questions... How can I keep my ports collection up to date? cvsup. or, more exactly, edit the supfile called "ports-supfile" so that it will point at one of the cvs servers, and update it from there. the commands and files can be found in /usr/share/examples/cvsup. also, make sure you have cvsup built, or installed from the cdrom. it'll be under the net section of the packages, or in /usr/ports/net/cvsup (make install that one). > That's all...I know these are dumb questions but they're the only things I > haven't been able to sufficiently figure out... hope this helps you some. +-----/ f. johan beisser /------------------------------+ email: jan[at]caustic.org web: http://www.caustic.org/~jan "knowledge is power. power corrupts. study hard, be evil."
