What range of BSD machines should plip work between? In LPIP mode is it OK to use between FreeBSD and DragonFly for instance? Any reason why a PLIP interface would fragment IP headers? On the receiving end truncated IP headers were being received. I had used it w/ FreeBSD-5 <--> FreeBSD-4 before setting up 802.11 and it worked ok (still very slow to do plip), but as the old laptop is now running DragonFly which no longer supports my card I've temporarily using plip which tends to cause problems. I'll likely reconfigure system so that the old hardware can continue with FreeBSD-4. NEWCARD code seems to break some OLDCARD (16-bit Type II/III slots - hardware such as Cirus Logic PD6729).
