Brett, Thanks for the info. I really need it to autoprobe for my application. if you know where a patch is, please let me know, and if i find one i'll tell you. Thanks again. I did some research on the linux driver SIS includes (at http://driver.sis.com/linux/630s/sis900.c) . It appears that in the 630ET, they moved the storage location of the mac address from EEPROM to the CMOS. So much for 630/630ET compatibilty! Unfortunately, my c coding skills are basic, but i may see if i can just substitute the sis630e_get_mac_addr function into the sis code in FreeBSD (if i can find it).
