https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=194804 Bug ID: 194804 Summary: [sound] [snd_hda]Creative SB0880 X-Fi: changing play.vchanformat causes system freeze Product: Base System Version: 10.1-RC2 Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: Needs Triage Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: d.akiyakov@gmail.com Created attachment 149016 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=149016&action=edit system info Hello, I'd like to submit a bug, which happens with me from 9-stable, as I remember. Bug occurs on Creative SB0880 X-Fi device. # pciconf -lv -a hdac2 hdac2@pci0:6:0:0: class=0x040300 card=0x00421102 chip=0x000b1102 rev=0x04 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Creative Labs' device = 'X-Fi Titanium series [EMU20k2]' class = multimedia subclass = HDA The system information is in attachment. The problem happens when I switch dev.pcm.7.play.vchanformat: s16le:2.0 to s16le:5.1. After this switching system freezes if I run any sound in any application. Only reset button helps. Also, must say, internal sound card on motherboard works fine with play.vchanformat:s16le:5.1. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
