There are several papers and slides and videos on my web page and the youtube, a pretty long manpage, all indicating what happens to the interface (which does not die) when you switch to netmap mode. I t may take some time to read and familiarize with the above, but it is the only way to move forward. We cannot give you recipes because your expectations on what netmap does do not match the actual behaviour . cheers luigi
