I can't speak about this hardware in special.

USB 2.0 controllers are twin controllers.
They have EHCI controller for high speed devices and one or more
traditional UHCI/OHCI controllers for low and full speed devices.
EHCI is not supported by FreeBSD yet, but you should be able to
use it for USB1.1 devices.
