the test vm right now is main-n272915-c87b3f0006be built earlier today.
the bhyve host is n271832-04262ed78d23 built Sept 8th

At the moment, it's using the new rack thing.
Can rack be used with your cubic changes?
Both the guest and the host vm were built after your changes.

I'll try your suggestion and post back the results.
