Quite a positive report.. Maybe if the latest patches are checked in, it may even do better. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 28 Apr 2003 23:08:56 +0300 From: Vallo Kallaste <kalts@estpak.ee> To: Julian Elischer <julian@elischer.org> Subject: Re: libthr broken On Sun, Apr 27, 2003 at 01:47:09PM -0700, Julian Elischer <julian@elischer.org> wrote: > THEORETICALLY it should be as simple as this: > > cd /usr/src/lib/libpthread > make > make install. It has other problems, however, which I never had before. For some reason KNode thinks, after I've saved newly composed text to tempfile, that external editor is still running and no text is transferred from tempfile to KNode own editor window. KNode process remains in memory after closing, taking some 24MB of memory. Mozilla and Phoenix will not start up any window, they're show up in top listing, take usual amount of memory and are not killable by TERM signal, only SIGKILL. But overall, libpthread (libkse) is in better shape than I thought. The fact that KDE got up and KNode is usable, is quite a wonder. -- Vallo Kallaste
