Hello, I just installed FreeBSD 4.0 off a CD I made from the ISO found at ftp.freebsd.org. The problem is I do not know how to make the kernel use both network cards (they are both old NE2000, on ISA, in a very old 486 machine). One card has io 0x360, irq 11, the other io 0x340, irq 5; I do not know what values I should use for the memory base of the cards. I tried to copy the line in the GENERIC config file, and change ed0 to ed1, and the io and irq values, but the recompiled kernel does not detect both cards. (I actually edited a copy of GENERIC, not the file itself, if that's an issue). If there is a need, I will send the kernel's output, but that will take a little longer :( Thanks for the help, Alex To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
