[-- Attachment #1 --] am new to the list and FreeBSD, so please excuse me if this is not the right place to ask this question. I have just completed a new, fresh install of FreeBSD from CDROM, from book "The Complete FreeBSD" by Greg Lehey. I pretty much did an all "auto" and let install pgm do it's thing. I thought it best for first time install. PC is a Dell 500 PIII 256Meg Ram. Has 1 NIC, 3C905, IP adr is 192.168.10.65, mask 255.255.255.0. I can ping other workstations from this box and I can telnet into this box from my W2K box. When I try to start sshd, I get error messages. sshd[336]: error: Bind to port 22 on :: failed: Address already in use. any suggestions, pointers, etc are greatly appreciated. thanks bob [-- Attachment #2 --] x>": IPM.Microsoft Mail.Note 1 4 % # &
