[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi all, I am trying to write a PERL script to do some admin tasks via CGI and am running into a problem that I had not thought was going to be a problem I need to get the scripts to either run as root or be able to execute certain commands as root. anyone know how to do this? I have tried the suid bit in CHMOD but that doesn't seem to change anything. Thanks, joe@thebestisp.com [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=text/html;charset=iso-8859-1 http-equiv=Content-Type><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <META content='"MSHTML 4.72.2106.6"' name=GENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Hi all,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>I am trying to write a PERL script to do some admin tasks via CGI and am running into a problem that I had not thought was going to be a problem I need to get the scripts to either run as root or be able to execute certain commands as root. anyone know how to do this?
