Subject:   Sendmail won't send 2 domains in separte IP block

Please help.

domain1.com is my main mail server with IP 64.162.225.1, running sendmail
v8.12.5, and main DNS.
domain2.com is on a separate machine with IP 64.162.229.1, also running
sendmail.

domain2.com can send email to anyone including domain1.com and has no
problem.
domain1.com can send to virtual hosts within same machine, separate machine
with same IP block, and outside the network, BUT cannot send to domain2.com
or any virtual domains served in another machine with separate IP block.

The following error message is returned from OutlookExpress sending using
domain name:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by
the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'myname2@domain2.com'. Subject
'test', Account: 'myname1@domain1.com', Server: 'domain1.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.1.1 <myname2@domain2.com>... User unknown',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

The email "Mail Delivery Subsystem" is returned with following message when
sending with IP address:

   ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
   <myname2@64.162.229.1>
    (reason: 550 Host unknown)

   ----- Transcript of session follows -----
   550 5.1.2 <myname2@64.162.229.1>... Host unknown (Name server:
64.162.229.1: host not found)
