Synopsis: Improvements to ln(1). State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: schweikh State-Changed-When: Sun Jun 10 07:29:16 PDT 2001 State-Changed-Why: Absolute symlinks are almost often evil (e.g. when accessed on a remote system via NFS), so -a is something we should not encourage. For relative symlinks ln(1) works when used with proper args and cwd so the need for -r IMHO isn't strong enough to add an option that would make us diverge from the other BSDs. But thanks anyway for the suggestion! http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=7298 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
