just a quick thought - if you send any cd's out, make sure the people getting them know about ppp being linked against the DES libraries just in case, for some strange reason, they don't look at the 2.2.6 errata.txt on ftp.freebsd.org (assuming it's still there ;-) before they try and get ppp working.
