Hello!
Few days ago I got RELENG_4 of src/sys and src/include directories via
anonymous cvs.
After reconfiguring kernel's config file on my own taste (see attach) I
did these actions (kernel's config name is DUNGEON)
# pwd
/usr/src/sys/i386/conf
# config -r DUNGEON
Removing old directory ../../compule/DUNGEON: Done.
Don't forget to do a ``make depend''
Kernel build directory is ../../compile/DUNGEON
# cd ../../compile/DUNGEON
# make depend > depend.info 2>&1
# make > make.info 2>&1
You can see the depend.info and make.info in this mail as attached
files.
I didn't know what should I do ... I decided to change "wrong" commands
in /usr/src/sys/i386/i386/bioscall.s file. I changed them to "call"
instead of "lcall" (strings 68, 133). Perhaps this is not correct in
context of source code, but compilation continued and I received the
messages shown in make2.info file
Unfortunately I have to recompile the kernel in order to get my sound
working. I have Sound Blaster Live! May be you can suggest me another
way to get it working.
Now i have:
$ uname -v
FreeBSD 4.0-RELEASE #0: Mon Mar 20 22:50:22 GMT 2000 ....
Thank you for help.
K
