The hang seems identical whether nfsd and mountd are running or not. It even hangs under these circumstances if the mount command is invoked with option -b. However, if NFS is statically built into the kernel, I believe it only hangs when option -b is not used and the mount is attempted before mountd is running (not tested exhaustively). -- Adam David <adam@veda.is>
