I have recently purchased a new monitor (Komodo H73 17") and am now getting the following errors when I try to start the
X Windows System:

101> startx

_XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running

Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running

When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages

_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

I have reconfigured X Windows, and the server starts with no complaint during the test that occurs after configuration.
There are no other instances running, and the monitor is the only hardware/software change I have made. My server was
working fine with my old 15" monitor. Any ideas? Please respond to the address from which this message was sent
(whit@airportave.com).

Thanks in advance for the help!
