This case is possible with -stdlib=libstdc++, so similar logic should apply.  I think it should say:

.if ${MK_CLANG_IS_CC} != "no" && empty(CXXFLAGS:M-stdlib=libstdc++)
	echo ${PROG}: ${LIBCPLUSPLUS} >> ${DEPENDFILE}
.else
	echo ${PROG}: ${LIBSTDCPLUSPLUS} >> ${DEPENDFILE}
