--82I3+IH0IqGh5yIs Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Hi folks, I have a machine, with very good specs (2.8GHz, 512MB RAM) and it's running 5.1-REL. FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE-p10 #2: Mon Dec 22 10:19:56 EAT 2003 I's like to upgrade this box to 5.2.1-REL. I have cvsupped very clean sources. However, make buildworld dies at different stages. There is no consistent point at which it fails. Everytime I try, it goes and fails later, at a different stage: In the logs, I see things like: pid 21191 (make), uid 0: exited on signal 4 (core dumped) pid 61014 (make), uid 0: exited on signal 10 (core dumped) Attached is a dmesg output. Any pointers are welcome. NB: I have successfully upgraded other 5.1 boxes, so I'm familiar with the process. -Wash http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html -- +======================================================================+ |\ _,,,---,,_ | Odhiambo Washington <wash@wananchi.com> Zzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ | Wananchi Online Ltd. www.wananchi.com |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-'| Tel: +254 20 313985-9 +254 20 313922 '---''(_/--' `-'\_) | GSM: +254 722 743223 +254 733 744121 +======================================================================+ Nothing is illegal if one hundred businessmen decide to do it. -- Andrew Young --82I3+IH0IqGh5yIs Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="dmesg.uhmc.txt" Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD Project.
