There was a 1 month heads up, a 1 week heads up, a "code freeze
starts now" email, and a newsflash added to the front page of the
FreeBSD web site. I thought that would be sufficient.
I will add a item to our checklist for 4.7 to send out a 24 hour
heads up in addition to the 2 other reminder emails and the web site
newsflash.
Sorry for the confusion. As Jeroen said, both he and Mike Smith
have emailed re@ regarding the iir driver.
