i've tried to configure my soundcard in many different ways and i still keep having problems. i've removed all devices but the video card and soundcard. and it still doesn't work. i suppose a clue to this problem is the fact that dmesg reports the following: 'vga0: <Generic ISA VGA> at port 0x3c0-0x3df iomem 0xa0000-0xbffff on isa0', but 'isa0' seems to be be configured for the soundcard below: sbc0: <Creative SB AWE64> at port 0x220-0x22f,0x330-0x331,0x388-0x38b irq 5 drq 1,5 on isa0 pcm0: <SB DSP 4.16> on sbc0 i'm kinda tired of messing around with this configuration. if you think that is easier to just get a new soundcard, i would probably do that instead. if so, what is the best videocard to buy with the least possible configuration issues? is pci better that isa? any assistence would be appreciated... thanks, sergio brito _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
