With ports r508239 the port has been marked as not broken with MySQL 8.0. But
the problem still exists and has not been fixed. (See also: bug #230538)

What i also saw in the build log:
configure: checking for mysql in /usr/local
checking for mysql.h... no
checking for mysql/mysql.h... no
