What does the dmesg look like? Is it not listing cd0? You should see at
least on line for cd0 right after the acd0 lines near the end of the
output. The first should be:
cd0 at ata1 bus 0 target0 lun 0

This should be followed by (at least) on more line reporting the
details of the drive: manufacturer, model, version

Are these showing up?
