I have a primary only userland app that does a very crude Irda equilivent to 'rpcinfo -p' (i.e. calls LM_GetValueByClass for 'Device::DeviceName', 'Device::IrLMPSupport', and all the PnP ones). - it works ok, but needs a lot of tidying before i can continue.
