Hi, I am trying to get this changer to run with amanda on FreeBSD. dmesg says, sa0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 4 lun 0 sa0: <SONY TSL-A500C L100> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-2 device sa0: 20.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit) pass3 at ahc0 bus 0 target 4 lun 1 pass3: <SONY TSL-A500C L100> Removable Changer SCSI-2 device pass3: 20.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit) chio gives me # chio -f /dev/pass3 status chio: /dev/pass3: CHIOGPARAMS: Inappropriate ioctl for device so I guess that's not the right thing to use? mt seems to see the drive on /dev/sa0, # mt -f /dev/sa0 status Mode Density Blocksize bpi Compression Current: 0x31 variable 0 0x3 ---------available modes--------- 0: 0x31 variable 0 0x3 1: 0x31 variable 0 0x3 2: 0x31 variable 0 0x3 3: 0x31 variable 0 0x3 --------------------------------- Current Driver State: at rest. --------------------------------- File Number: 0 Record Number: 0 Residual Count 1024 Anyone know how to get this going with amanda? - ask -- ask bjoern hansen, http://ask.netcetera.dk/ !try; do(); more than a billion impressions per week, http://valueclick.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
